Hello, i'm Catherine, a registered Nutritional Therapist and I am passionate about using the healing power of real food to achieve wellness and prevent illness.
I want to inspire, motivate and support people to live a healthy, happy, energy-filled life using simple and effective nutrition and lifestyle changes. Eating well and feeling well doesn't have to be complicated and I want to simplify this and make it more achieveable and realistic.
I believe the old saying 'you are what you eat' and what you put into your body and how you live your life affects your health. I work in a holistic way to find the root/underlying cause of an issue, as I believe that all systems of the body are connected and treating the symptoms alone is not the answer to achieving a healthy body and mind.
I have been interested in health and wellness since an early age but I started to really think about it and take more on board after a detox retreat in Thailand around 10 years ago. For many years I lived a life of excess - a very fast paced life working in London, exercising too much, going out a lot and not always looking after myself. I suffered from glandular fever, stress, chronic fatigue and gut issues and I have overcome these using my knowledge.
I am fully insured and registered with The British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and also The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CHNC). I studied at the College of Naturopathic Medicine whilst working full time in the corporate world.
I am regularly furthering my knowldege attending courses and workshops, these have included studying with the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM).
